The support line is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for community members to seek support & resources around experiences of sexual violence. Trained advocates answer the line to provide information, education, and crisis counseling. Callers can remain anonymous while speaking with an advocate.
Those interested in becoming a counseling or therapy client with Ampersand can request an appointment by calling our support line during regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm.
Telephone interpreters are available by request for all callers. For TTY or other services for those with hearing impairments, contact the Kentucky Relay by dialing 7-1-1 and providing the operator with the Ampersand resource line number.
Medical & Legal Advocacy
Hospital staff are required to call the 24-hour support line to request an advocate anytime a survivor presents in the emergency department per 502 KAR 12:010(2). When calling, provide the advocate with the name of the hospital, the county the hospital is located in, and any relevant information about your patient. Advocates are available 24/7 in the 17 county Bluegrass Area Development District.
Law enforcement officers may request an advocate be dispatched to their station by contacting the support line.
