Sexual Violence in LGBTQ+ Communities
- Nearly half of bisexual women, 1 in 8 lesbian women, and 1 in 6 heterosexual women have experienced rape at some point in their lifetime.
- Nearly half of bisexual men, 4 out of 10 gay men, and 1 in 5 heterosexual men in the U.S. have experienced sexual violence other than rape in their lifetime.

Sexual Violence Against People with Disabilities
- People with intellectual disabilities are 7x more likely to be sexually assaulted than those without disabilities.
- It is estimated that as many as 40% of women with disabilities experience sexual assault or physical violence in their lifetimes (National Clearinghouse on Family Violence, Canada) and that more than 90% of all people with developmental disabilities will experience sexual assault.
Men
- 1 in 6 men have experienced sexual abuse (defined as unwanted sexual contact involving force, threats, or a large age differencebetween the child and the other person) before the age of 18.
- An estimated 23.4% of men have experienced sexual violence other than rape during their lifetimes.
Sexual Violence Against People who are Homeless
- 32% of women who are homeless and 27% of men who are homeless experience physical or sexual violence.
- 58% of LGBT youth who are homeless experience physical or sexual violence.
